When a motorcycle is rented from Iron Horse Motorcycles is subject to certain restrictions and a limitation under the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, the Customer is fully responsible for any loss or damage to the rental motorcycle regardless of cause.
Where Collision Damage Waiver/CDW/ is offered and accepted by the Customer an additional daily charge will be paid, Iron Horse Motorcycles will waive all, or a portion of, our right to collect from you for damage to the rented motorcycle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of motorcycle you rent. We will not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver. Please read the back of the Iron Horse Motorcycles Agreement for a complete list of exclusions. If at the time of rental the Customer cannot present proof of Mexican coverage for loss or damage to the rental motorcycle he/she will be required to purchase CDW as a condition of rental. International travelers should be prepared to present valid proof of conforming coverage including a description of coverage of the rental motorcycle. CDW is offered only where permitted by Law. Finally, you should consider accepting Collision Damage Waiver. Some credit card companies offer protection if you present their card at the time of rental, and if you use the same card to pay for your rental at the time of return. Renters should closely examine the terms of this coverage because the protection is often supplemental, and certain limitations or restrictions may apply. Specific information on availability of optional CDW and the cost can be obtained when making a reservation. Iron Horse Motorcycles recommends that you decide whether or not you need CDW before you pick up your motorcycle. Does not cover tow, traffic tickets, lost plates, partial theft or accessories. In addition, if we have the contact information of the other party, we will pursue them and / or your insurance company for our damages if it is determined that they were guilty. However, our pursuit of the other party does not release you from your contractual obligation to Iron Horse.
Other charges that could be incurred by the renter:
Is excess motorcycle liability insurance that protects you and all authorized riders of the rental motorcycle against third-party bodily injury and property-damage claims for which you are legally liable. When SLI is purchased, liability protection provided by Iron Horse Motorcycles and the SLI carrier becomes primary, and applies before other liability protection available to you. This means that you probably won't have to call upon your other protection unless the loss exceeds the SLI limit or results from your use of the motorcycle in violation of the terms of the rental agreement. By not having to file a claim under your own policy, you can probably avoid possible premium increases or even cancellation. Another benefit is that SLI provides a high limit of liability protection that might not otherwise be available to the renter. By accepting SLI, the limit of liability protection available to the renter or authorized rider it depends of the rental location coverage.
Liability insurance protects you against claims for injury or damage you cause to third persons or their property. It does not cover injury to you, or damage to the rented motorcycle.
If at the time of rental, the customer cannot present proof of coverage for Mexican Liability insurance, he/she will be required to purchase Liability as a condition of rental. International travelers should be prepared to present valid proof of conforming coverage including a description of coverage of the Liability limits.By electing to purchase optional PAI coverage at the designated daily rate, the renter and his/her passenger are insured while occupying the rental motorcycle subject to all provisions of the group policy. Renters are protected only in the rental motorcycle during the entire rental period, and others are covered while occupying the motorcycle. In addition, PAI provides protection against loss of, or damage to, certain personal property of the renter and individuals traveling with the renter. PAI provides renters and occupants of the rental motorcycle with accidental death benefit and coverage for certain medical expenses resulting from an accident.
Additional to CDW cost. Reduces deductible responsibility in case of accident or theft, covers possible damages caused to the rented motorcycle by the renters. Does not cover tow, traffic tickets, lost plates, partial theft or accessories. As you know CDW has a deductible responsible according to the rented motorcycle. This coverage offers the reduction of the deductible until to 50% below the regular cost for deductible. Same regulations apply for restrictions of the CDW and benefits. This insurance only reduces the responsibility to half of the price for deductible.
